Visit Cape Verde
Cape Verde may not be a trendy destination, yet this Small Country has a lot to offer to sun and nature lovers.
The colonial past has left its mark on the country’s architecture, which also boasts an extremely rich culture and long beaches.
Cape Verde comprises 10 islands and 8 islets, each with its own distinct personality. You’ll have plenty of options to choose from to find the one that best suits your preferences!
WHAT TO VISIT IN CAPE VERDE?
VISIT CAPE VERDE: THE ESSENTIALS
Accommodation — Of course, like any destination, there’s something for every taste in Cape Verde: from luxury hotels to Airbnb rooms, as well as eco-friendly accommodations.
Food — Cape Verdean cuisine is flavorful and spicy. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that all dishes are hot 😉 Near the ports, there’s nothing better than enjoying freshly caught fish.
Transportation — To travel between islands, you can opt for either planes or boats, depending on your schedule. Within the islands, minibusses are the most economical and authentic option.
Daily Budget — 35-45 EUR. This is what I spent on average during my stay there. Several things to consider: accommodation in hotels (inevitably more expensive than Airbnb or staying with locals), meals almost exclusively in restaurants, and transportation using aluguers. Of course, depending on your travel style, your budget may vary significantly.
