Visit Spain

Synonymous with sun, warmth, and beaches, Spain is one of the most visited countries in the world. From one corner to another of the Iberian Peninsula, nature and culture offer a thousand facets.

While Madrid and Barcelona are the top destinations, the rest of the country has nothing to envy and promises a true change of scenery.

From the border with Portugal to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, visiting Spain means diving into dozens of mini-countries!

VISIT SPAIN: USEFUL INFORMATION

Accommodation — From luxury hotels to youth hostels, Airbnbs… there are many ways to stay in Spain. Some destinations can be much more expensive if they are highly sought after, while others are more affordable.

Food — Spanish cuisine is extremely varied from one region to another. Ham, chorizo, wine, strawberries… are just a few of the country’s specialties. Plenty to offer a true gastronomic tour for your taste buds.

Transportation — For an eco-friendly stay, buses allow you to explore every corner of the country. The train network is also expanding more and more, offering a good alternative to discover the peninsula.

Daily Budget — 35-45 EUR. This is what I spend on average, booking Airbnbs, shopping for homemade meals, and using public transportation sparingly. Of course, your budget may vary greatly depending on your travel style.

TIPS TO SAVE MONEY

1
Go to real tapas bars A tapa is a small portion of food served for free with each drink.
3
Join free tours Most major Spanish cities have free tours to discover the sights at a lower cost.
2
Use public transportation Metro or bus, Spanish cities are very well connected and allow you to easily travel from point A to point B.
